Lil’ Red & The Rooster have always embodied international collaboration—and with their album 7, they’ve taken it even further. The duo, Columbus native Lil’ Red (Jennifer Milligan) and her French husband, acclaimed Blues guitarist Pascal Fouquet, brought their Parisian rhythm section across the Atlantic to record in Columbus, Ohio with Grammy-nominated pianist and organist Bobby Floyd, a hometown legend whose credits include Ray Charles, Dr. John, and the Count Basie Orchestra.
The result is 7—a genre-bending, spy-noir soul balm weaving together Blues, Jazz, Retro Soul, and Gospel.
